The 2007 Howell Mountain Merlot has a dark purple black color with an almost opaque core. Aromas of wild blueberry, blackberry jam, dates, currant, and chocolate with a hint of white pepper. On the palate the wine explodes with super ripe and rich flavors of plum, raspberry liqueur, allspice and sweet vanilla. Our Sauvignon Blanc was fermented 50% in French oak and 50% in Stainless steel barrels, sur lie aged and non-malolactic. The resulting wine has a clean and clear appearance with a pale yellow color and hint of green on the edge. The wine is full of honey melon, kumquat, light grapefruit, marshmallow cream, lemon grass and key lime pie aromas. On the palate this wine exhibits a mix of sweet rich vanilla and peach mouth coating flavors opposed by a crisp Meyer lemon zest acidity with a long and lasting after taste.
