2018 Block 13 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Planted in 1997 into the rockiest section of our Estate Howell Mountain vineyard, this wine brings us back to our beginning, our oldest and lowest yielding block 13. This wine has a commanding presence and is true to the variety of Cabernet Sauvignon. Unlike our traditional Howell Mountain Cab blend this is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon focusing on a single block and variety. Extended bottle age before release lends this wine to a beautiful dark ruby hue. Charming aromatics of dark plum, black currant, dark cherry, and molasses provide an inviting nose. The palate evokes hedonism with cinnamon, chocolate, baking spice, blackberry with supple, chalky tannins. Only 97 Cases Produced.
